This argument was harder for me for I don't know much about the economy. I was able to use simple things and use it to support my position. I generally have difficulty thinking of concrete evidences to incorporate within my essays.

Synthesis
Locavores
Task: To identify the key issues associated with the locavore movement and examine their implications for the community.
Type of Writing: Expository
Original: March 27, 2015
Revised: May 19, 2015
Reflection:
I just want to start out by saying this essay was my worst not only synthesis but my worst essay throughout the entire year. At the time I wasn't thinking clearly and couldn't get my thoughts flowing so the initial phrasing and word choice was off and everything sounded awkward. After I revised it and used more than 2 sources, like it did initially, I felt better about the way it turned out. It had the potential to be better so I turned it into something that was more like an AP piece.
Penny
Task: Develop a position on whether or not the penny coin should be eliminated.
Type of Writing: Expository
Original: January 12, 2015
Revised: May 20, 2015
Reflection:
This was an okay essay for me; it wasn't my best nor my worst. It, of course, isn't completely finished but as I revised it I feel that I clearly stated my position and explained it thoroughly. Interesting enough, before this prompt I didn't know that the eradication of the penny was up for discussion so I actually learned something new. This prompt was one of the first synthesis essay that we completed on our own and I quickly learned my strengths and weaknesses. From there I was able to work on and improve how I went about completing this type of essay.
